Using the photos

All photos on the OrgCatalog site were taken by the project author. For personal and non-commercial use they can be taken free of charge — with a link to the photo page. Anything else needs permission.

Who the photo author is

The photos of goods, price tags, shop windows, organizations, trees and cameras were taken by the author of the OrgCatalog project. All rights to them are reserved (© OrgCatalog). The site publishes reduced copies without the camera's service data (EXIF).

What is allowed without permission

Free of charge, without separate permission — for personal and non-commercial use:

A photo may be cropped and reduced, but its meaning must not be changed: do not draw in or erase prices, inscriptions and price tags, or pass a photo off as your own or as taken in another place and at another time.

Search engines and AI assistants

Search engines (Google, Yandex, Bing and others) and AI assistants with search are allowed, free of charge and without separate consent, to crawl the site and photos (robots.txt and the sitemap is open), to index pages and photos, to show previews, text snippets, prices and photos in search results, in image search and in AI answers with a link to the source page on the site. Training models on the site's photos and data is still only by agreement with the author.

Credit and link

Next to the photo, put the credit “Photo: OrgCatalog” and a link to this photo's page on the site (an address like https://orgcatalog.com/en/photos/2026-09/20260924-201012-582/): it shows the date of shooting, the place and the prices, by which a reader can verify the photo. Where a link cannot be placed (print, video), a credit with the site address is enough.

Permission is required

Individual prices and product information may be quoted with a link to the site page where they are published.

Trademarks, people and organizations

Trademarks, packaging, signboards and logos in photos belong to their owners. The photos were taken to show goods and prices and do not imply any connection between the site and manufacturers or shops. The terms on this page concern only the rights to the photos themselves: the author's permission does not replace the consent of a trademark owner, if it is needed for your use.

People in photos must not be recognisable: faces are blurred or the photo is not published (more in Privacy). If you, your organization or your product is in a photo and you object to its publication — how to remove a photo.

How to get permission

Write to the author through contacts page: links to the photos you need, where and how you will publish them, and whether you need the original in a larger size. A reply usually comes within a few days.
