About prices in the catalogue

Every price comes from a photo taken in a shop, pharmacy or bazaar: a shelf price tag, a hanging price tag, a price on a seller's calculator or a record without a photo. Together with the price, the shooting date, the place and, if it is legible, the product barcode are saved, so the price can be checked against the photo itself.

What is a group of goods?

A kind of goods or service — for example “Cucumbers”, “Vitamin D3” or “Computer services”. The group page collects all items of this kind with prices from different shops and for different dates.

How to compare prices if the package size differs?

Goods with different package sizes (dosage, weight, quantity in a package) are treated as different items, and next to the price the normalised one is shown: per kg for food, per capsule for supplements. Compare by it.

Where do the prices come from?
